Looking for a quick entertainment boost?

I have a flash-fiction short story for you called Aniyé’s Breath!

Three days. No food. No water. No way out.

Legends tell of windspeakers who command the storm, who summon the sky’s fury with a whisper. Aniyé is not one of them. Her winds are weak and fickle. But when she finds herself cornered by a creature of claws and teeth, she must embrace the one gift she has, no matter how insignificant it seems.

Three images are arranged from left to right. The first shows a teenage girl with black hair and brown skin. Her hair is twisted in leather thongs and strands of it lift into the air, caught by the wind. The next image shows a snowy mountain and evergreen trees. The last shows an attacking snow leapard, claws out and teeth bared, lunging forward. The text reads: A girl who speaks to the wind… trapped in a mountain cave… by a ferocious mountain cat. Can she escape? This image was created with the help of AI.

Aniyé’s Breath is perfect for anyone who loves young adult fantasy, survival stories, unique worlds, and interesting magic.

Literary Good Taste

I like the good writing and variety you’ve included… I’ve recommended your emails to friends who don’t know you as well and I think it’s worth their while too. Especially if they like having a bit of literary good taste come into their life through email.

If your inbox is anything like mine, signing up for yet another electronic missive may sound as disagreeable as chewing shoe leather.

But just think how refreshing it would be if in the midst of all those webinar invites, advertisements, and long-winded updates, you got the literary equivalent of sniffing an alluring sea breeze. It would perk you right up.

My emails are (as a rule) short, fun, informative, and as entertaining as possible.

Sometimes that means sharing a story, a poem, or one of motorcycle misadventures. Sometimes I offer deals, sales, behind-the-scenes info, insight into my writing process, and updates on my writing projects (like the YA fantasy novel I’m writing).

The goal is always good writing, good fun, and adding a touch of pizzazz to your day.

Four images are grouped artfully on the screen. The first shows a line representation of a feral cat, the next a notebook and pencil on a wooden table, the next two hands typing at a black keyboard, and the last, a woman lying on her side reading books.
